The Position: 

The Marketing Strategist role is instrumental to creating the integrated strategic marketing & execution framework for ReviveHealth clients.  The Marketing Strategist utilizes insights and data to help define the objectives, strategies, tactical approach and measurement plan for client go-to-market planning.  This person’s work can drive both long-term annual or multi-year planning, as well as specific campaigns.  This role acts as a central hub to the team of discipline experts inputting in the marketing strategy & planning process, framing and synthesizing their efforts into a clear, strategic whole. These plans will drive awareness, preference, lead generation and conversion according to client needs. Owing to the digital-first world we live in today, these efforts will always consider digital channels as a core component, and drive both optimal usage and innovation in the space. This role will also work closely with key specialists in Analytics, Media Planning and other functions, as well as the Client Experience lead and supporting project management staff.  The marketing and campaign plans they produce will span all key client categories including heath systems, services, tech and health plans, entailing both consumer and B2B categories.

The Responsibilities: 

Client/Billable Responsibilities (80%)

  • Facilitate analysis of client’s current marketing efforts
  • Lead client marketing strategy sessions that develop alignment on client marketing objectives
  • Conduct and manage marketing research, including: internal and external interviews, consumer and buyer research, and new methods as determined
  • Develop annual marketing and go-to-market strategies for clients
  • Develop and maintain the specific marketing, campaign and project plans for clients
  • Coordinate with key leads from teams including strategy, content, creative, PR, digital and communications planning in creating plans that accommodate all relevant channels
  • Help to author briefs to kick-off project teams and campaigns
  • Work with client teams on an ongoing basis to ensure executional alignment with strategies across brand, marketing, campaign(s) and/or communications
  • Work with the analytics lead in utilizing data to derive, validate and measure client approaches
  • Update strategic plans based on program performance
  • Help to institutionalize a digital-centric approach to the agency’s overall work

Agency New Business & Marketing (15%)

  • Serve as subject matter expert for prospects involving go-to-market planning
  • Help develop prospect intelligence and determine objectives and approaches
  • Participate in pitches as needed, including leading some engagements, and produce market planning deliverables
  • Develop marketing programs in coordination with pitch and account teams

Internal (5%)

  • Assist in the development of IP (e.g., POVs, frameworks, methodologies) to be used across the firm for client engagements
  • Mentor junior staffers to heighten agency abilities in marketing planning

The Essentials:

  • 3-6 years’ experience in the marketing space, with emphasis on strategy, planning, data analysis and digital
  • Experience managing staff and coordinating/leading integrated teams
  • Clear understanding of paid, owned and earned marketing channels, and their strategic interaction
  • Expertise in building awareness, preference, lead generation and conversion for clients
  • Comfort with research and data platforms and sources, and their strategic application
  • Ability to synthesize complex planning into clear, easy to comprehend deliverables.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be effective in highly collaborative contexts
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to be highly credible in front of senior level clients
  • Passion to continually absorb, learn, evolve and teach in the fast-changing marketing and healthcare space
  • Healthcare experience necessary, especially for hospitals/health systems or health technology companies
